From Road to Gravel to Bikepacking, the BELLUS 2 is the helmet you need. Wind tunnel developed, the focus is a helmet with ventilation at normal speeds. The helmet for the group ride, or the after-work loop. The helmet which allows heat to escape on the steepest climbs, at lower speeds. The helmet for gravel or bikepacking.
HJC focused on creating a helmet with large open vents providing heat management at normal speeds. Working with riders feedback about sweat management of modern helmets, we added channels at the front lip of the helmet aid evaporation from the brow pad. The brow pad itself can be replaced with the suppled removable soft peak, providing further sun protection and sweat management. With safety always being a focus, we included next generation SLID™ (Sliding Layer Impact Distribution) pads in the top of the helmet. These reduce concussion risk in blunt force and rotational impacts. They also cushion the helmet against the scalp on rougher ground. In the real world, gloves at times are a must, either owing to colder weather, or for protection in the rough stuff. The Fidlock magnetic clasp allows fast and secure fitting even with fully gloved hands.

Aerodynamic Design
Coming from MotoGP race-helmet design experience, HJC designers and engineers have become experts in aerodynamics and wind ventilated helmets. Aero helmets, as the word implies, are more aerodynamic than the conventional racing bike helmet, but with compromised ventilation performance. With HJC Helmets, this compromise is very much reduced. Advanced Air Channel System
A certain amount of air passes through the front air-intake port, then circulates inside the helmet and finally exits through the exhaust port. The internal airflow is then increased to cool the head and evacuate the heat.
Ventury Dynamics
In order to achieve maximum ventilation, a technical adaptation of Bernoulli’s principle is applied to HJC’s aerodynamically enhanced models. In motion, the rate of surface flow generally increases as it progresses towards the rear of the helmet. Through pressure differences, cool air from the frontal intake is extracted through the rear vent for internal heat dissipation, giving the cyclist optimum ventilation and perfect air flow while riding.
